Two Perak state executive councillors are among six people arrested by the Anti-Corruption Agency(ACA) for alleged graft involving a proposed housing project in Seri Iskandar worth RM180 million.
The two exco members are Changkat Jering assemblyman Kapt.(Rtd) Mohd Osman Mohd jailu, and Behrang assemblyman Jamaluddin Mohd. radzi.
State Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) director Samsiah Abu bakar confirmed the arrests.
Magistrate Noor Aini Yusof issued a three day remand order against each of the five pending investigation under the Anti Corruction Act.
Prime Minister says ACA's latest arrest of six people including 2 Perak state exco members is proof of the agency's increased efficiency due to improvements to it's enforcement capacity. He brushed off comments by some PKY people who questioned the timing of arrest coming during the Permatang pauh by-election campaign, and said it was a mere coincidence.
